ROSANNA DI FIORE ART

    As an abstract artist, I paint what I feel, not what I see. My works are an inner path in which I seek to evoke an experience, capturing the essence of human being and complex emotions associated with the most powerful experiences of life. I mostly use strong and intense tones which alternate with softer details to create a balance between energy and introspection. In each piece I like to embody the transition between past and new perspectives, integrating my vision of the future and what that brings to me. Music is a strong part in my painting process. It helps me evoke strong emotional response and figure it out on canvas. I like to define myself as a mixed media artist as I like to use a variety of materials to layer the surface of paintings, like pastels, plaster or sand. One of my goals as an artist is to keep exploring while pushing my limits with new techniques or materials, that’s why I never know where each piece is headed.

    About me

    I’m Rosanna. I was born in a small town in Puglia, in Italy. I studied biotechnology sanitary in my home town and then moved to Australia for work and study between 2017 and 2020. The return to Italy became a catalyst for seeking new ways to express myself throughout creativity. So, I started some handcrafting projects but it wasn’t enough for self expression.

    It has been the deep passion for art in every form that led me to start as a self- taught artist with realistic paintings but it still wasn’t enough. I was in need of an ever increasing freedom of expression, where rules are abandoned. So, I started creating abstract art and found out it is the most powerful medium to narrate an inner journey and a personal vision of the world .

    Each piece reflects my passion for art and my dedication to create works that inspire curiosity and dialogue. It started as a trial but from that moment I put all my focus into tell stories that invite me and viewers to connect with deeper emotions.
